Embarking with Emilie, RDW Media Planner/Buyer
Say hello to the newest Media Planner/Buyer on the RDW team, Emilie Steven! Emilie comes to us with a love of brainstorming that will come in handy when finding all the best ways to reach your audience. Take a minute to learn a little more about her and why we’re so excited to have her on the team.
1. What are your favorite and least favorite foods? Please elaborate
My favorite food is Sushi. I could eat it for every meal and never get bored of it. My least favorite would be anything with Beets in it. Dwight Shrute would not be impressed by me.
2. What is your favorite part about working in Media?
I love that no project is ever the same and that you get a chance to really brainstorm how to reach audiences. When a campaign is successful, then it is also so rewarding because you know your media strategy was a smart move.
3. Why did you choose RDW?
I really was looking for a company that has a good atmosphere and that also worked on campaigns that hit Digital, Social, Print, etc. and RDW does all this well. I feel like I will have a great opportunity at RDW to learn, grow, and enjoy which is all anyone can ever ask for.
4. Who’s your idol? Why?
My Idol is Will Ferrell because he has been a comedy Icon to me since I was a child watching Stepbrothers (which I was probably too young to have watched when I did for some of those scenes!) and on top of it all he has an amazing voice hahaha.
5. What’s your favorite place you’ve visited?
My favorite place I have visited would be Puerto Rico because of all the stray cats, and the views were amazing to see.
6. Cat person or dog person? Why?
Can I be Switzerland on this? I have a cat and a dog so I feel guilty choosing which side I lean towards more, but I guess if I had to pick it would be dogs since I can walk my pupper and take him hiking with me.
7. Favorite karaoke song?
Country Roads!
8. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
I would love to fly so I could avoid the traffic on the roads!
9. Most rewarding project/past achievement you’ve been a part of?
I would say the most rewarding project would be when I completed my first campaign from start to finish on my own for a makeup brand called Lottie London. It was the moment I realized I love the media planning side of Marketing.
10. What’s your background (educational)?
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire, as part of the class of 2019 for Business Marketing and Management.
Welcome, Emilie! We can’t wait to learn and grow with you!
