And the Award Goes To…

You know our story here – we’re all about driving positive change. It’s in our blood. And it’s our greatest passion – and compliment – to partner with our clients in making it happen.

Earlier this month, we were honored to celebrate the accomplishments of two of our clients as 2018 Bell Ringers Award winners. The Bell Ringers recognize distinguished communications campaigns which go above and beyond in connecting with their audience and driving outcomes through creativity and craftsmanship.

This year, both campaigns that we entered were recognized:

  • FamilyStrong RI – Silver Bell Award for Communications Campaigns – Brand Building or Re-Branding

2018 Bell Ringers Awards - Family Strong RI “Parenting isn’t easy. That’s why we’re FamilyStrong RI.” – From access to childcare, housing, and food to wrap-around family resources, the FamilyStrong RI campaign let parents and caregivers know we are there to support them. The campaign encompassed the development of the new brand, creation of a landing page, and two paid media campaigns including radio, transit, paid search, online display, and paid social media. More than 330 calls, emails, text messages were directed to the FamilyStrong RI staff. Learn more about the FamilyStrong RI campaign.

  • RI DMV – RIMS Computer System Launch – Merit Award for Communications Campaigns – Integrated Marketing Communications

2018 Bell Ringers Awards - DMV RIMS campaign

“Smooth Traffic at DMV” – That was the headline of The Providence Journal the day after the RI DMV’s new Rhode Island Modernization System (RIMS) computer launched. Transitioning from a COBOL legacy system, RIMS implementation required the planned interruption of DMV services and temporary closure of all branch locations at planned intervals.

An integrated communications campaign, including paid, earned, and owned media, was developed to raise awareness for all Rhode Islanders, keep the public and stakeholders informed, and minimize transactions being conducted at DMV locations during the launch. At the completion of the RIMS project, the campaign had garnered praise statewide from leaders, media, and the public alike, with key takeaways being shared and implemented for future work across agencies. P.S. – the RI DMV was also awarded with a 2018 Regional PACE Award and the 2018 International Award from the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA). Learn more about paid social media’s role in the success of the DMV RIMS campaign.

Positive change doesn’t always happen dramatically or quickly. Oftentimes it likely even goes unnoticed in this extraordinarily fast-paced world we live in. But sometimes we are able to see firsthand the impact of our work. It’s an honor to stand alongside our clients and to share their work with those who benefit from it most (which is all of us at one time or another!)

Congratulations to the FamilyStrong and RI DMV teams! And here’s to all of you out there changing the world in your own essential ways – thank you!

The RDW, Incentric, and iFactory teams
