Join us in welcoming our new business development representative, Zack Hanerfeld (aka Z), to the iFactory team. Zack comes to us with a degree in Economics and Finance from Bentley University, where he picked up a passion for creative thinking and a drive towards constant improvement. We sat down and asked him some questions to help you get to know him. Here’s what he had to say.
Just Zack, or Z. In college Zbop or just Bop. (I don’t know how it evolved to that)
2.) What are your favorite and least favorite foods? Please elaborate
Favorite foods range from Spaghetti Carbonara to a nice Ribeye Steak. My least favorite foods are anything containing mushrooms and/or mayonnaise. Guilty pleasure is chicken noodle soup right from the (Can)pbells
3.) What is your favorite part about working in business development?
Developing the business… But seriously I like thinking creatively to come up with a solution. I like to live my life day by day and my motto is definitely “constant improvement”. Business development is improving upon a process even if it doesn’t necessarily need fixing.
4.) Why did you choose iFactory?
I liked iFactory because I wanted to surround myself with smart people who had a lot of experience in the industry. Also, I’m not a cubicle man; they make me feel claustrophobic. You could call me cubicle-phobic.
5.) Who’s your idol? Why?
My idol is Ronaldinho Gaucho because he always does everything with a smile on his face. Not to mention he’s the most fun soccer player to watch in recent years.
6.) What’s your favorite place you’ve visited?
La Isla San Juan de Gaztalugatxe. Google image search it and you’ll understand why.
7.) Cat person or dog person? Why?
Cat person for sure. Because they’re low maintenance and you have to win over their affection. I like dogs as well but never had one growing up. My goal is to get a cat and name it Kanye, then create a YouTube channel of it walking up and down a keyboard until it gains a fan base equal to or greater than the original Keyboard Cat.
8.) Favorite karaoke song?
Mr. Brightside. Because it is an instant crowd pleaser and I can yell it.
9.) If you could have a super power, what would it be?
I can’t really choose. It’d be cool to turn invisible or to shape shift. Realistically, a photographic memory. Because to me that seems like a superpower.
10.) What’s your background (educational)?
I went to Bentley University and studied Economics and Finance and minored in Spanish. However, unofficially I really studied Spanish to the point where it was my real major. I’m always looking for a chance to practice as one day I wish to become totally fluent.
