Meet Matthew – iFactory Senior Drupal Developer

Join us in welcoming Matthew Luzitano, Senior Drupal Developer, to the iFactory team! We’re certain his love for the creativity it takes to solve technical challenges will help knock your next web project out of the park. Learn a little more about him and why we’re so excited to have him on board.

  1. Do you have any nicknames we should know about?

Somehow I always end up getting called “Matty”. But I usually go by “Matthew” or “Matt.”

  2. What are your favorite and least favorite foods? Please elaborate.

My favorite food is sushi of any kind (maki, ngiri, sashimi). With or without wasabi. Traditional or westernized. It’s all good! My least favorite is anything pickled, except for pickles. Carrots, onions, whatever. It’s all bad unless it’s an actual pickle, in which case it’s great.

  3. What is your favorite part about working in Engineering?

The creativity it takes to solve certain technical challenges.

  4. Why did you choose iFactory?

It’s a company at an exciting point in its history—a solid foundation that everyone is eager to make better and better.

  5. Who’s your idol? Why?

My wife. I know that sounds corny, but her outlook on life is positive, and she’s so brave.

  6. What’s your favorite place you’ve visited?

    New Zealand for my honeymoon!

  7. Cat person or dog person? Why?

Dogs person because I’m allergic to cats.

  8. Favorite karaoke song?

“Carry On Wayward Son” by Kansas, but only if I’m allowed to accompany myself with air guitar.

  9. If you could have a super power, what would it be?

The power to add Oxford Commas to texts that don’t use them.

  10. Most rewarding project/past achievement you’ve been a part of?

Building an engineering team at my last company was very exciting, but I’m also excited to work with a new one where I’m not the go-to engineer on everything.

  11. What’s your background (educational)?

I have an MFA in Writing from Warren Wilson College. By day, I’m an engineer, but in my personal life I still focus on my poetry.

Welcome to the team, Matt!
