Cornell Engineering

Is it possible to change the status quo?

Nationally, women represent just 22% of undergrad engineering students — which translates into women being underrepresented in engineering fields. The opportunity to level the playing field was not lost on Cornell University, especially given their continuous efforts to improve educational experiences and outcomes by bolstering diversity in education and industry.

Use social media and other channels to help Cornell Engineering target, reach, and engage prospective and current students. Communicate the values of their supportive and diverse learning community, and share information about all the ways Cornell encourages women engineering students to thrive on campus.

Our strategic and sustained messaging effort helped Cornell Engineering become the first institution of its size and stature to enroll an equal percentage of undergraduate men and women in engineering.
