Recognizing Ronan, RDW PR Coordinator
Help us give a warm welcome to RDW’s newest PR Coordinator, Ronan Khalsa. Ronan comes to us with a background in sports marketing and a love for seeing the impact when campaigns come together. Haven’t met him yet? We sat down and asked him some questions to help you get to know him better and here’s what he had to say.
1. Do you have any nicknames we should know about?
I don’t have an official nickname, but I like to think of myself as “Ronan, Salsa-with-a-K.”
2. What are your favorite and least favorite foods? Please elaborate
Just know one thing: the spicier the better. Though that’s the case, mac and cheese with broccoli is godly. As in Vermont Cabot Sharp Cheddar with crackers. In terms of food that deserves to be in the trash…asparagus, mushrooms, and beets. I used to be a very picky eater, but I’ve grown up.
3. Why did you choose RDW?
RDW was a good fit for me. Everyone is welcoming, we are helping the community thrive and the coworking space at the CIC was a major selling point.
4. What’s your favorite place you’ve visited?
I’ve been very fortunate to travel to 31 states, Washington D.C., and 17 countries. One of my life goals is to get below the equator. Italy, specifically Rome, was my favorite as it’s a walking city, and all that I ate…chocolate croissant for breakfast, pizza/cacio e pepe pasta for lunch/dinner, gelato for dessert.
5. Cat person or dog person? Why
Neither, I consider myself to be a cow person. Growing up outside of Brattleboro, Vermont, I lived for the annual Strolling of the Heifers parade on Main Street each summer. I suppose that’s where my love of cheese started. I guess if I had to pick, I’d be a dog person. Although dogs have a certain energy that freaks me out at times. I was very afraid of dogs until I was eight or so and my dad found a German Shepard Rottweiler mix in the woods that we adopted.
6. What’s your background (educational)?
Education has always been very important to me. Growing up, both of my parents worked on college campuses and I spent lots of time during the summer snagging cookies from the dining halls. I went to three different high schools, including spending tenth grade in India.
Upon graduating high school, I headed out to Bradley University in central Illinois and double majored in sports communication and social media marketing. Currently, I am finishing my Master of Business Administration at Rider University online.
Welcome Ronan! We’re looking forward to making an impact with you.
