Catching up with Cassidy – RDW Senior Media Strategist
Say hello to the newest member on RDW’s media team, Cassidy Bissitt. Cassidy comes to us with seven years of experience building holistic media strategies and a love for innovation and photography. Take a minute to learn a little more about her, and you’ll see why we’re so excited to have her on the team.
1. Do you have any nicknames we should know about?
Most of my friends and family call me Cass.
2. What are your favorite and least favorite foods? Please elaborate
Ice Cream or chocolate – I wouldn’t be able to live without those; they make me so happy. There aren’t many foods I don’t like. (I would say sugar coated coconut shavings are the only one.) I eat a pescatarian diet so lots of veggies, fruits, grains, beans and occasionally seafood.
3. What is your favorite part about working in media?
My favorite part is the strategic thinking and planning that goes into each client’s media plan. I love to find new and innovative ways to achieve our clients’ marketing goals. I also love working with my team. We have a great leader and everyone is so helpful and kind.
4. Why did you choose RDW?
I wanted to work in a medium size agency environment, and I loved RDW’s work format, flexibility, and location (CIC Building has great amenities and offerings and I love being in the center of Providence.) I also knew very quickly from interviewing that this would be a place I could learn and grow. There are so many talented and intelligent individuals on this team who will push you to be your best in your career.
5. Who’s your idol? Why?
I’m not really one to idolize other individuals. I put a lot of focus on how I can improve myself in life and work and try my best not to compare myself to others (although hard in the social heavy world we live in.) I guess if I had to pick it would be Stevie Nicks (my favorite music artist). She’s confident, free spirited, and a raw and genuine person that perfectly blends vulnerability and strength. I love anyone who is just fully genuinely their true self.
6. What’s your favorite place you’ve visited?
Santorini, Greece. The best water I have ever swam in the world! Perfectly clear, salty and warm.
7. Cat person or dog person? Why?
Pig person – I don’t have a cat or dog. But I have two pet pot bellied pigs. I had wanted them my whole life and just decided to spontaneously get them without knowing how long they live (15 years!!).
8. Favorite karaoke song?
Alicia Keys – No One
9. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Teleporting! I wish I could get to places in an instant. I love to travel and be outside doing things so I would love to have it be even more accessible.
10. Most rewarding project/past achievement you’ve been a part of?
I ran a marathon! This is kind of becoming a cliche one with how popular marathons are now. I have been running competitively or for fun my entire life and I finally decided to run a marathon. I was good with my training up until the month before and after that barely ran before the race. I still ended up running and finishing the race. The excitement from the crowd and my determination made it so I have never felt happier in my life. I was smiling the entire time.
11. What’s your background (educational)?
I went to Rhode Island College and have a BA in Photography. Photography was the path that led me into marketing believe it or not.
Welcome Cassidy! We’re looking forward to having you on the team.
