Join us in Welcoming Back Janet, RDW Senior Account Executive

Help us give a warm welcome (back) to Janet Farrell, RDW’s newest Senior Account Executive. Take a minute to learn a little more about her, and you’ll see why we’re so excited to have her rejoin the team.

1. Do you have any nicknames we should know about?

Not really. People typically call me Janet. I loathe the nickname “Jan,” although my close family and friends do call me that on occasion.

2. What are your favorite and least favorite foods? Please elaborate

I love to eat and love ALL food, but Italian is definitely my “can’t live without.” I’m not the biggest fan of super spicy foods. And I could probably subsist alone on a good, crispy loaf of bread, olive oil, and cheese.

3. What is your favorite part about working in marketing?

I really love that no day is the same as the one before it. There is always something new to learn and do and it keeps me motivated and excited.

4. Why did you choose to come back to RDW?

I’m so happy to “re–join” the RDW team! As a former client turned employee, being able to return to RDW Group for a “second tour” is an opportunity I do not take for granted. Returning has been like a homecoming for me. I love the people here and the work/clients is second to none. Being a small agency, we have the opportunity to remove the layers and truly partner inside and outside of the agency to make great, impactful work come to life. So excited to be back!

5. What’s your favorite place you’ve visited?

This summer I visited the Azores with 16 of my family members and it was probably one of my favorites trips and places yet. Everything from the scenery to the food and the people was incredible!

6. Cat person or dog person? Why?

Formerly a cat person, I’ve been converted to a “Rhody” person after getting my first owned dog ever in 2020 – Rhody, our English Lab. He’s 100lbs and the sweetest thing ever. He requires his weight in snacks each week and constant belly rubs, but his genuinely wonderful nature makes up for the fact that I need to vacuum every hour to keep up with his dog hair.

7. Favorite karaoke song?

I’m not typically one to sing karaoke, BUT “Hold On” from Wilson Philips would be my top choice, possibly a cliché choice, but hands down my favorite.

8. If you could have a super power what would it be?

If I could have a super power, I would probably fly. I think that would be pretty amazing and the views unmatched.

9. What’s the most rewarding project or past achievement you’ve been a part of?

This past year I took part in the Blood Cancer United Visionaries of the Year campaign on team Homerun Hitters in support of my dear friend Kelly and her son Brayden who is in remission of an agressive form of childhood leukemia. Our team together raised over $100k dollars for Blood Cancer United. I was unbelievably proud to be part of it, to make a difference for kids like Brayden and to support one my closest friends.

10. What’s your background (educational)?

I earned my BA in Communications with a minor in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island.

Welcome Janet! We’re excited to bring impactful work to life with you.
